A really great Christmas event for all the family held in Bakewell Town Centre.
Bakewell Christmas Weekend this year will have over 100 stalls and gazebos giving you plenty of opportunity to find that extra special present or treat for the Christmas table.
As well as plenty of stalls there’s lots of entertainment including on Saturday the Matlock Tuneless Choir, the Bakewell Community Choir, as well as the Bakewell Silver Band (also appearing on Sunday) and The Salvation Army. On Sunday the Castleton Silver Band will be appearing as well as the Bakewell Billerettes.
All weekend a DJ will be playing, whilst there be an opportunity to meet the famous Disney characters, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. There will also be more kids entertainment with Rachels Magical Entertainment as well as fair rides.
There will be a display of birds of prey and an opportunity for kids to post their letters to Santa at the Granby café in the Granby Arcade.

Do you need somewhere to stay near Bakewell?
Bakewell is just 12 minutes away in the car and there’s plenty of parking by the Agricultural Business Centre. If you want to leave the car, then you could hop on the Transpeak bus, which will take you down the A6 into the heart of Bakewell.
If you have a large party then the Escape (as featured on this website) is a 5 bedroom holiday cottage in Derbyshire with hot tub and pool table. The Escape has two double rooms, and two twin rooms (one with ground floor access). There’s also a room with a bunkbed. It also has a large living room, kitchen and dining area. The Escape is ideal for a large group with it’s very own covered hot tub and a games room which has an additional room for sleeping. This is an exceptional holiday cottage if you have a big occasion to celebrate – you won’t be disappointed.
