accommodation for bakewell christmas market

Bakewell Christmas Weekend 2025

Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th November 2025 –

The Bakewell Christmas Weekend is one of the Peak District’s favourite festive celebrations, bringing music, markets, and merriment to the centre of Bakewell. This family-friendly event fills the town with more than 100 stalls and gazebos, offering everything from handmade gifts and crafts to local produce and seasonal treats.

Across the weekend, the streets come alive with live entertainment and performances. On Saturday, visitors can enjoy music from the Matlock Tuneless Choir, Bakewell Community Choir, and the Bakewell Silver Band. On Sunday, the Bakewell Silver Band returns alongside The Salvation Army, the Castleton Silver Band, and the energetic Bakewell Billerettes.

A resident DJ will keep spirits high with festive tunes throughout both days, while younger visitors can meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, enjoy Rachel’s Magical Entertainment, and have fun on the fairground rides.

Families can also see a bird of prey display and post their letters to Santa at the Granby Café in the Granby Arcade.

With its mix of shopping, entertainment, and festive fun, the Bakewell Christmas Weekend is a wonderful way to start the holiday season and experience the warm community spirit of this historic market town.
