Events at Chatsworth House 2026 –
Any holiday or short break to Derbyshire and the Peak District should include a visit to Chatsworth House and Gardens. Alongside exploring the impressive historic rooms, extensive gardens, and the ever-popular Chatsworth farmyard and playground, there’s a varied programme of events throughout the year that adds even more reason to visit.
Here’s a small selection of highlights from the 2026 calendar to give you a flavour of what’s on.
16th January – Winter Talk: 500 Years of the Chatsworth Garden & Landscape
An engaging winter talk exploring how Chatsworth’s gardens and landscape have evolved over five centuries, led by members of the estate’s expert garden and landscape team. A perfect addition to a peaceful winter visit.
23rd January – Winter Talk: A History of the Arboretum & Pinetum
This talk focuses on Chatsworth’s remarkable tree collections, originally developed in the 19th century, and how they continue to shape the estate today.
12th-14th June – Celebrating Jane Austen
Chatsworth marks its famous connection to Pride and Prejudice with a summer celebration inspired by Jane Austen’s world. Expect Regency-themed activities, talks and light-hearted experiences across the gardens and grounds.
19th July – Chatsworth Signature Classic & Performance Motor Show
A popular summer event showcasing an impressive collection of classic, vintage and performance cars, all set against the stunning Chatsworth parkland.
4th-6th September – Chatsworth Country Fair
One of the highlights of the Chatsworth calendar, the Country Fair returns with grand ring displays, cookery demonstrations, shopping stalls and family entertainment across the estate.
13th September – Chatsworth 10K
A scenic and well-supported run through the Chatsworth estate, offering a memorable challenge for keen runners, with a friendly atmosphere throughout.
