Chatsworth’s much-loved Christmas season returns for 2025, filling the house, gardens, and grounds with festive charm. Each year, a new theme transforms the stately rooms and outdoor spaces into a celebration of light and creativity. The 2025 theme will be revealed closer to the opening date, but visitors can look forward to the same breathtaking displays and joyful atmosphere that make Chatsworth a highlight of the winter calendar.
Highlights
- Step inside more than twenty rooms adorned with seasonal decorations inspired by the year’s theme.
- Discover a captivating light and sound trail weaving through the gardens, with illuminated features and magical views of the house after dark.
- Watch the spectacular animated projection on the south façade of the house during evening visits.
- Families can visit the farmyard and woodland adventure playground to meet the animals, enjoy festive crafts, and soak up the seasonal spirit.
Christmas Market
- The Chatsworth Christmas Market runs from 8 November to 14 December 2025.
- Browse more than one hundred stalls offering gifts, crafts, and festive treats.
- Seasonal food, drinks, and live music create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Market entry is free of charge, though parking fees apply.
- Visitors with house or garden tickets can also explore the market during its opening period.
Tickets and Visitor Information
- Advance booking is recommended to secure your preferred date and time.
- Christmas in the Garden tickets include access to the illuminated garden trail, farmyard, and adventure playground.
- Christmas at Chatsworth tickets include full entry to the house, garden, and farmyard.
- Please note that the final garden entry is one hour before closing, and the evening projection ends around twenty minutes before the garden closes.
