1st – 3rd December 2023 –
Each year over the first weekend of December the Matlock Victorian Christmas Market takes place in Matlock’s central park known as Hall Ley’s Park. The Market is visited by thousands every year searching for a great day out and those extra special Christmas gifts you won’t find in the shops.
Matlock Victorian Christmas Market has over 200 stalls offering gifts, jewellery, clothes, paintings and works of art. There’s also a wide selection of foods from all over the world, fair ground rides including bumper cars, a mini roller coaster and a helter skelter. There’s also entertainment from street entertainers to a brass band and performances from local singers, all provided at the park’s bandstand.
There’s a Santa’s grotto, plus you will get the chance to see Santa arrive on his horse driven sleigh at 4:15pm on Saturday evening. This is followed by the Matlock christmas lights being switched on at 4.45pm.
Finally, if you can stay until Sunday night, you will be treated to a fantastic firework display over Matlock.
