After six amazing years of this fantastic event, the strongmen, and this year strongwomen return to Matlock Farm Park to compete for the Peak District Highland Games trophies.
As with traditional Highland Games, you can expect to see some heavy lifting. Events include the The Peak District Dinnie Stone Challenge, The Tossing of the Caber, The Eight Tonne Tractor Pull, The GIANT Stone Throw , The 120kg Log Press and The Stone of Destiny Carry.
The Games feature an opening ceremony at 10:45am, with events running from11am – 5pm, starting in the lawned arena.
On the day there’ll also be lots of attractions at Matlock Farm Park, with activities including an interactive exotic animal experience with Jungle Jo, a selection of craft and market stalls, an array of food stands, a gin garden and a beer tent.
Matlock Farm Park also provides play areas for children and other opportunities to interact with the animals living at this popular attraction.
